Tef Lube 107 contains an extremely fine polytetrafluoroethylene powder. Polytetrafluoroethylene, most commonly referred to by the abbreviation PTFE or the trade name Teflon®, is known for its extreme slipperiness and its strong resistance to high temperatures and chemical reactions. Polytetrafluoroethylene is able to retain its physical properties over a wide temperature range. When used as a lubricant, it is known for how well it reduces friction and lessons energy consumption and wear on machinery. It boasts of being extremely non-reactive, and it is able to effectively resist water and water-containing substances as well as oil and oil-containing substances.
