Instructions: We recommend that you read the Material Safety Data Sheet before you use this product. Before applying, make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, oil, and tar. As you hold the can at a 45° angle, apply a continuous 1/16” to 1/8” bead to the mating surface, being sure to encircle all bolt holes. Assemble immediately if using for the purpose of adhering two parts. For one part adhesion, allow 10-15 minutes for the bead to skin. As you reassemble the parts, be sure not to over-tighten the bolts and thus squeeze the gasket out. Gasket Pro 990 will begin curing immediately and will be fully cured in 24 hours, reaching optimum strength within 7 days. If using Gasket Pro 990 for food applications, wash the part before use after the sealant is completely cured. Any excess cured material can be removed if desired by trimming it off with a sharp blade (while being careful not to undercut the seal).

We do not recommend that you use Gasket Pro 990 on carburetors or parts requiring continuous immersion in gasoline, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, and cylinder heads. Gasket Pro 990 meets G.M. and many O.E.M. specifications. It also meets FDA Regulation 21 CFR, 177.2600 requirements when fully cured and washed.
