Non skid coating? The answer is Traction Kote 400. This is an epoxy non slip coating designed to prevent “slip hazards” on many types of surfaces. It is available in black, grey, yellow as well as “clear”.

Traction Kote 400 can be applied after masking area to be treated. This gives treated area a uniform appearance and helps eliminate excess usage. After applying Traction Kote 400, immediately remove masking tape. Using this method insures professional looking results as well as providing for a non slip and safe surface for foot traffic.
Traction Kote 400 lasts up to one year depending on traffic type and frequency.
When applying this non-slip coating to any hard surface, a profile should be created which will insure proper adhesion of product. This can be accomplished by using a 60 to 100 grit sanding disc and lightly abrading surface. This process insures adhesion and affords long term slip protection.
After applying Traction Kote 400 (as an example: non skid marine deck coating) allow to dry thoroughly before opening to traffic. This should take several hours (4 to 6) depending on humidity and current weather conditions.
When heavily used walkways require a non-slip coating and closing is not feasible, partial applications are very successful. This method is widely used where excess traffic prohibits blocking an entire area.
