SLC-400 is a low temperature synthetic grease designed for use in cryogenic, low temp greasing conditions. It is recommended for use in a wide variety of low temperature applications including, bearings, couplings, hinge pins, journals, cams, latches, drag chains, conveyor assemblies and lever operated mechanisms.
SLC-400 provides outstanding results even in ultra low temperature lubrication.
The low temperature torque characteristic at -100°F (-73°C) to 163° F is a functional benefit that conventional greases cannot achieve.
In addition, SLC-400 is a pure water white and odorless grease that can be used for most plant wide lubrication requirements.
SLC-400 is also recommended for lubrication of plastic and rubber parts where proper lubricity is critical.
SLC-400 is a synthetically thickened grease which employs an extremely low viscosity Polyalphaolefin (PAO) based fluid. This enables the product to maintain the proper viscosity consistency which insures proper lubrication. This low temperature lubricant can be used with confidence to lubricate those areas where viscosity stability is critical.
SLC-400 is used extensively by Coffee processors and exporters. This lubricant is excellent for lubricating equipment where freeze drying methods are used in processing. In “freeze drying”, it is imperative that equipment such as conveyor bearings, slides and hangar assemblies receive the proper lubrication. SLC-400 provides the proper lubrication and prevents equipment failure and costly equipment downtimes.
In certain other applications, SLC-400 is used where liquid nitrogen is employed for “quick freezing” edible products. This process requires any lubricant to maintain the proper lubricity at extreme low temperatures or after products have been removed and equipment is operating at a more normal room temperature. SLC-400 exceeds all these requirements and has been widely accepted as the lubricant of choice where a low temperature grease is specified.
