When it comes to stopping slip hazards, nothing is more effective than Diamond Grip. The toughest non-skid tile coating available, Diamond Grip has a coefficient of friction in excess of 1.5 7, making it the most aggressive non-slip surface treatment available. The secret to its extreme toughness lies in its unique, rugged aggregate, GL-400, which is included in every Diamond Grip kit. Diamond Grip with GL-400 aggregate is rated harder and tougher than silicon carbide.

Details

Diamond Grip is packaged as a two-part kit including a liquid component and an aggregate component. Its base or liquid component is 100% solids, two-part special epoxy which provides excellent adhesion to almost any surface. This base is a clear, odorless, viscous liquid that does not produce harsh fumes. The aggregate component, GL-400, is extremely aggressive and has a grit size of 20. GL-400 aggregate is charcoal in color and produces a lustrous gemstone appearance in sunlight, creating an attractive fi nished surface.

Diamond Grip non-slip floor coating can be rolled on with ease by on-site personnel and it can be easily cleaned with a semi stiff brush or by pressure washing. Application Preparation

• To insure proper adhesion, make sure the application surface is clean and dry before applying Diamond Grip.
• To create the proper profile, it is important that you use a 60 to 100 grit sanding disc.
• Masking tape should be used before application to ensure a uniform appearance.

Non Slip Coating Application

• Mix Diamond Grip and apply with a 3/8 inch nap roller cover.
• Apply the Diamond Grip liquid and then add the GL-400 aggregate, broadcasting it over the entire wet surface.
• Cure for 6 to 8 hours and then sweep away any excess aggregate before opening the surface to traffic. Note that Diamond Grip is NOT recommended for use on uncured wood surfaces.
